A short term problem in my opinion. JB and gang did state many times that the focus in 2017 is performance and fleet modernization, so there really isn't any growth forecasted until late 3rd and 4th quarter 2017.

Anyone interested in Allegiant, I encourage you to read over the earnings reports and especially the analyst questions. It's sometimes scary how smart JB is in his answers. Albeit he's still a corporate big wig (to be minimally trusted), I haven't seen one smarter! You'll get a real good feel for allegiant reading through its investor information.

I agree, akemps. I just finished reading the transcript as well. I like how how honest and transparent the executives were about their focus on performance metrics and fleet modernization. It's very unusual to see execs straight up tell investors they don't plan on much stock growth for the next 12 months.

Also, it's very strange for a company to beat analysts quarterly forecast and then drop significantly in value.
