Even with the pwa restrictions, virtual basing seems like an endless number of possibilities for the company. They can open and close virtual bases monthly, so even if one comes to your commuting town, it could leave next month.

The thing that makes me nervous, and I'm a commuter, is that the company knows how they are going to use it, and we don't have the first clue. We are signing off an immensely flexible crew scheduling capability and we don't know how it will be implemented.

I'm a commuter, and I suspect that after implementation, there will be some who like the results and some that don't. It seems like the company would have to make sure that at least a large portion of the pilots liked it otherwise the MEC would vote to pull it down.
