I agree completely. From a meer FO gettin ready to upgrade, I will def let my FA know that if they are disrespected in any way, i have no problem using some authority. Paying for a ticket gives you NO right to yell and complain at someone more than maybe expressing your frustrations. Especially if it becomes personal.
I wrote an earlier post on this thread which I believe...but here is the passengers point of view on this issue. I wish flight crew would be more aggresive with their authority regarding rude and abusive passengers. I stand behind my previous post - but I am also in favor of a more aggresive posture toward A-hole passengers. It does make the other passengers uncomfortable - and it generates hostility when a passenger who is in the same position as you monopolizes the crews time with b_tching.
