I put that in the comments portion of the survey that the union put out. Convert the bonus evenly throughout the ranks because it's fair now. If you can get some gains for the super senior then great but no one should go backwards at this point. Base it on min guarantee also.
A $23K bonus converts to roughly $25/hour for a 75 hour minimum guarantee. The union is saying that we can't do that across the board because now that it is being wrapped into pay rates, the employer needs to pay more taxes, something about 401K, etc.
even if you do a bonus based on an 85 hour month (a conservative number for lineholders) it equates to about $22-$23 an hour. If we saw a raise like this across the board I would happy. Anything less and it feels like we're losing out IMO.
