2300 is less uncommon now a days at spirit. I was hired this year and I have less than 4k, while another two in my class had less than 3k. You'll see us run classes similar to regionals before we start to hurt for pilots. Even tho most regional's first year pay is almost double first year at spirit; shiny jet syndrome is a real thing.
