Job fair if you can make it, pull any strings you have for an internal recommendation or Silver Bullet if you have someone who will do it for you. Otherwise it seems to be a mix of persistence, patience and luck of the draw. I wish there were a magic formula, but there isn't. At least not that I'm aware of.
