New hires bid with the rest of the pilots for vacancies but typically there's a set number of any given fleet for any given class. Bids open around the 6th and close the 20th of each month as per our CBA.
Our current bid (nov) has:
20 Md-80 FO vacancies (10 SFB/10 VBD)
14 Airbus FO vacancies
6 757 FO vacancies (LAS)
14 MD-80 CA (VBD)
12 AB CA (VBD)
Based on the current status of each fleet's training program and sim availability I would not expect any airbus in the NOV class.
There will also be additional need for more -80's in December or possibly January.
So the 14 AB FO vacancies-are any of those SFB? My hubs has the January class and I'm trying to follow the trends. I don't understand the seniority system since it works off of SSN-that's new to us. We're trying to determine how quickly he could hold SFB as a domicile.
