The SS# for seniority is the last 4 numbers, lowest number is the most senior. That's in the contract. Both AB and 80 fly in SFB and it's likely he will be able to hold that base before he gets out of training. If not then, surely VBD will be available, and he can bid VBD in SFB since it's usually offered.
Plan on an 80-100 day footprint in training, especially if he gets AB. More senior pilots less, less senior pilots more. That's what it's currently running. Training here is exhaustive, that's no joke. He needs to be prepared to put out a lot of effort and self study, and don't expect to make it home much.
