@ MichiganFlyer: Did you fail a background check? Did someone blackball you? Did you post somewhere that you're using F9 as a placeholder?
I'm not accusing MichiganFlyer of telling half the story, but I've seen it enough to ask the question before I start piling on our management group for being pricks.
If F9 withdrew an offer with zero provocation only 4 days prior to class, I would think it would be increasingly difficult to fill classes at all in the future. Everyone tries to give 2 weeks notice to the employer they're leaving. Rescinding an offer only 4 days prior will really put folks in a bind.
If this is what happened to MichiganFlyer, believe me, you have my sincere sympathy. Nobody should be treated this way and I will certainly keep this situation in mind the next time F9 management wants me to do something above and beyond what's mandated in our contract.
Fair questions.
I was very honest with them during the application and the interview. There should be no issues with the background check that I am aware of.
I was truly hoping/planning to stay at F9 for over 10 years.
There should be no blackball that I know of.
I gave up a fairly senior captain slot at my regional to go to F9.
