Sorry to butt in on your FedEx thread...

I've had a Perrone goatskin coat for probably 12 years. The thing shows virtually no wear after that time. I also got the Thinsulate removable liner and that works well in the winter. I had them customize the coat and leave off the leather patch and velcro entirely when I had mine made.

One downside is that the coat is quite heavy, so if you're not looking for that you may not like it. Also, even without the liner it can get a little warm in the spring or otherwise warmer months. Usually I just leave it at home entirely during about May-September and deal with any minor cooler weather some other way.
