The only way you're going to learn the FMS is by working with the FMS. It's a decent system, not as intuitive as a Boeing FMS but it works.
So don't sweat it. Know your flows. Know your flows. Know your flows. Know your limitations. Know your flows.
The FMS you'll have plenty of time to get to know.
