You seniority may improve faster in DTW, but the flying is probably better in ORD (depends what you want). A great deal depends on where flying moves (UA 700s going away, AA 700s joining the fleet, DTW final size not yet determined). As an FO you should be able to transfer into either base on a monthly basis, so if you feel like changing your mind you can with little trouble.
This is probably one of the better things about SKW. They've been doing base transfers about every month, and you could switch each month as long as there's a spot. Last summer I transferred to DTW just to get days off I wanted, and then transferred back to ORD a month later. The only downside is that you lose your vacation slots if you do transfer.
