The CTP did absolutely nothing for me. It was a bunch of time spent in a classroom, our instructor had some interesting stories which was about the coolest part of the classroom instruction. We watched some videos on CRM and human factors, pretty much that Air Disasters show.

The fun part was the sim. It was definitely cool to hang out in an A320 sim and do stupid things.

I would recommend you spend your evenings studying the Sheppard Air ATP written, since in reality the CTP does zero to prepare you for it.
