I totally agree!! Do you really think people are on the list to slow the company down? What a joke!! It's for MUP, they don't offer JA until they absolutely have to. If guys would stay off the list it shows the company that we sick and tired of their games at the negotiating table. I am sure they track the list to see how willing we are to "help" out. I have said it before and I will say it again, they will not give us a contact until they absolutely have to. Any deal with us will cost them cash! If we had a more aggressive union we might want to quickly organize a picketing event in ORD this week, the airport workers there are getting the news so why can't we be there to get a little recognition. I know for sure that schedulers have their favorite go to people to get a trip done. They know who lives close to the airport and who is willing to do the trips.
That being said, scheduling is now abiding by the 5 JM's a year now and won't exceed that anymore. There were several schedulers almost fired for going way over the 5.
I have noticed that scheduling has gotten better, there have been more hired. I think we have close to 50 or so and many of them seem very professional and are very nice people trying to do a difficult job.
