BTW, your Flight Ops is completely F-ed up.
Very true and very relevant. The mechanic arbitration read pretty close to what yours would have. It went something like this: Since Southwest mechanics have a much better contract and the AT mech bring very little to nothing to benefit the SW mech the only thing they have to bargain with is their seniority. Which for most lost over 4 years based on their date of hire.
Swapa wasn't scared of Arbi you just were told if you went to arbi that you would get relative which as I pointed out TWO of the seniority lists were merged via an arbitrator and they ended up worse off than what the AT guys got via a contract.
Lets say the At guys went into arbitration and the arbitrator said how can we come to an agreement between the two seniority list? Lets see the AT guys are going to get between 20 to 50 percent raises coming over, a much better contract in just about every regard while the SW guys got nothing except a much younger group of pilots that are now senior to them if they were awarded even date of hire. Yup that sounds fair right. Just like the arbitrator said for the flight attendants and Mechanics. YOU HAD NOTHING TO BARGAIN WITH.
So, please stop with the B.S. that you would have gotten better under an arbitrator.
