I love the flying out of HSV personally... Here's what to expect... You'll probably be able to hold HSV within 6 months the way things are moving, but you'll be on the bottom of the list for a few years. Obviously you'd drive to work and Atlas would pay you mileage. For the most part expect to be gone a full 17 days a month. SOMETIMES there are "Taco Runs" that split up your line and give you a few days extra at home. You might get one of those every two months but probably less than that. "Taco Runs leave on Thursday nights flying MEX-GDL- HSV and return on Friday afternoons. It's grueling flying. On Sunday night you do it again and then you start the rest of your line or have a split line and are done for a few days. Flying out of HSV has a good variety but most of it is going to hostile areas. You'll get time and a half over guarantee for it. So if you fly 30 hours hostile you'll get an extra 15 hours of pay that month on top of your over guarantee. Flying consists of Hostile trips going in and out of Afghanistan from Hahn. Africa trips that are hostile as well go Liege-somewhere in Africa-Nairobi and then to Liege. There are some around the world lines that do a ton of flying out of UAE into Asia and back. During the holidays there's usually a good bit of FedEx and UPS flying. On top of all that random flying drops all year.
