Really no one knows the secret. There's FOs that get hired at mainline quite often. Many mainlines don't have a turbine pic requirement. For most people it seems they need 1000 Turbine PIC to move on. A lot of people that move on have been here 6-12 years but that number is artificially high considering the non-existent or very low hiring at mainline for many years (retirement going from 60->65 etc) i.e. The lost generation.
Thanks for the reply. I suppose the answer would be as always to get as much time as possible and keep the airlineapps profile updated regularly. SkyWest is the one regional I wouldn't mind being at for a long time during the wait but hopefully the predictions are correct about legacy hiring continuing to increase.
