the union complains on one side of its mouth about poor staffing then negotiates a pilot replacement program on the other side to get rid of the senior pilots (as part of the bain fallout). what the f@#$ is it DR and HM? the leadership of the union organized a recall of the DFW CA rep to solidify their reelection bid. they are part of the "win together work together" BS mentality and should not have been reelected.
It is my understanding that the union was gathering poor staffing intel, but kept it on the back burner until they could arbitrate letter 3 grievances. They wanted to address letter 3 grievances first because it would concern Eagle pilots going to AA, further increasing the staffing shortage. They felt filing staffing grievance would weaken their argument on letter3. After the letter 3 grievances went to arbritration they begun the staffing battle.

As to your second point the answer is no.

Your third point is a conspiracy theory which there is no evidence to support. The DFW captain rep recall was started by a flowback who was concerned with Tim's decision to call a unschelded union meeting in Herndon. This meeting cost the union a ton of wasted money. I have discussed the reason for the recall with this flowback. As for the pilot placement program that was Bain's idea. Why wouldn't the union get involved and try to help intrested parties move on to bigger and better careers.

There is no reason for us to argue. We are on the same team. Weather you care for ALPA or not it is in our best intrest to show a unified front. The only way the company will see this is for us to display ALPA laynards, pins, stickers, etc.. I have been an FO for 6 years and I am sick of making squat.
