I can see how sending some MD-10s overseas could reduce their availability for CONUS flying, however, that flying still must be accomplished...it can't all go to the trucks. I wouldn't be surprised to see FDX make an announcement for A330F's or maybe even 767-300F's (aren't AMJ's an issue with these?) to pick up the slack on the domestic side. It'd be nice to see some 330F's or something, but it
seems like they are cooling off on the domestic capacity right now in favor of overseas to me. Lot of doubling up of cities and transloading and fat staffing in the -10 and the Boeing. That seems to be how they plan on covering things domestically for now, all subject to the whims of the economy but what else is new?
