Sounds like the Delta flying may be in jeopardy.
In jeopardy? No. LAX has challenges other airports dont have, they know that. The Mx however makes sense. The dl birds are getting older and so Mx needs to change in order to keep up and bring performance up. There is plenty of things pilots and FAs could do as well to help. Occaisonally I notice crews take for ever to get off the airplane, knowing full well there is a crew swap at 30-40 min turn. Passengers sometimes complicate things as well. Iv noticed alot of people taking extra long getting off. Like the last few passengers staying MINUTES longer than the rest of the passengers. Just flat out moving super slow for some reason. But the Fa's dont say a word. A polite reminder that we need to board the next group of pax on a quick turn could save some time. But I think there is a fear of them complaining to DL that the FA was rude when in reality they were not, and so nothing is said...

Im curious as to how these metrics work. If we have a 30 min turn scheduled, but the gate was occupied by mainline or another regional beyond our A14. Who is at fault? Both get dinged? If we occupy a gate for Mx and another bird of ours has to wait, do we get dinged twice?
Are we expected to make up that delay on the next few flights or does one delay turn into recorded delays for the rest of the day?
If we have a crew swap, and the inbound is late, its 30mins from block in for an ontime dep. correct? Or is it still the original planned departure time making it a less than 30 min turn?
