I will never understand why some people view reserve as miserable. Sure if you work somewhere else and a crew scheduling call sends you packing for 5 days with 4 EWR overnights in January or if you commute. My experience here has typically been flying only one or two days a months. I even called them once after a month and a half to make sure I was still employed. Reserve here has been one of the best experiences I've ever had at a job but I do live in base and enjoy lots of time with family, friends and hobbies.
