Don't plan your life on 150+ hour GS/IA months. DAL will figure out the staffing and GS/IA will dry up: they always do. You should plan for a life when you simply bid a month and fly it or sit reserve on it. That is the fact of life for the bulk of your career. Its always good to be senior in your category and that doesn't change as the senior typically get whatever good deals exist.
The CC/DPA 40 list.. no comment.
I was convinced of the superiority of the UPS DB/DC arrangement till I understood their details and did the numbers. Both their DB and DC are capped and that is the rub. Our DC and PS aren't capped. Our 4% more DC vs UPS plus our pensionable Profit Sharing at a nominal level appears to simply be worth more over time and its paid to you up front in your name. If you want an annuity buy one.. or buy several. UPS has a good contract, but a NewFlyGuy.. or Gal with any financial savvy at all should do very well at DAL. Have a Great Delta Weekend! OFG
