You can bid for it off, try to trade reserve days, and if all else fails, visit with the Chief Pilot about the situation and they can approve a PO (personal off day) or PVD (paid vacation day).
I've had more than a few weddings, funerals, and family emergencies come up over the years and they've always been good handling it. I try to go in and talk to them face to face and obviously don't abuse it.
Say what you want about how management treats the contract here, but the CP's have always been really good at helping when life happens.
