We have the bestest system in the industry which is why every other pilot group is running away from this type of system and would never touch it - ever.
With a PTS and PTV system calling out "any day that you feel like it" is a function of the DP that is negotiated since the company controls the 'green' days.
In the real world as long as you fly one day pairings mid week in off peak months you are golden. For the rest who fly 2, 3 and 4 days that touch weekends? Not so much.
