For Air Force types, the flying history report is an official "government certified" piece of paper verifying a pilot's flying times, and qualifications. If you are pure mil, it can be a great way to present your credentials, without any possibility of being questioned on matters of accuracy. Depends on the hiring environment, but in times past United used to question everything in a pilot's logbook, accuracy, integrity...etc
