As far as I know it is still required. You can get your pilot credentials profile built and update it till you get there. I think the swa careers app will kick you tbnt till you meet that requirement. As far as it going away Rocky seemed to be working toward perhaps a 500 pic number, but was having a hard sell with some of the rest of the recruiting team. They acknowledge they are losing candidates to UAL DAL AA and the like because of it so I imagine it is only a matter of time. Good luck with getting to your 1000tpic.
