Just got off the phone with hiring, they told me 2 years for any transition (new hires or otherwise, Company need notwithstanding).
Apparently new hires were saying "I don't care which plane" then a year later "I didn't get to choose!"
Anyway, it's now 2 years now across the board.
I'm still going down the path with the E175, but two years more than a CRJ to upgrade and move on to a livable salary... lots of second guessing.
You do realize that no matter what aircraft you get hired into you can take the upgrade on any aircraft as soon as your seniority allows it and you meet the minimums. Get hired into the 175 and upgrade on the CRJ no problem, or vice versa.
Another thing to keep in mind that these two year upgrades you read about are only happening back east. All of the bases Denver and west take years longer.
