Follow the logic...

1. Trump may be any number of things, but he is not an idiot. Just the opposite, in fact.

2. Every single person who has ever discounted Trump has lost. Personally, I'm convinced his "act" is just that, designed to cause people to consistently under-estimate him. For example, he is an absolute master at trolling emotional liberal snowflakes.

3. Hold the above 2 thoughts for a moment.

4. Obama made many campaign promises, chief among them "national unity" and "transparency in gov't", which he did not keep. Voters have utterly wrecked and ruined his party, in large part because of these failures. His willingness to sacrifice American workers for his ideology simply sealed the deal.

5. Trump's #1 campaign promise is "fair deal for the American worker(s)", ie. the middle class

6. See point #1

7. Trump knows he needs his core supporters, and what will happen to him even faster than it did to Obama if he fails to keep his main campaign promises

8. The incoming SoT, Elaine Chao, works for Trump, not the other way around.

9. See: Carrier plant jobs saved from going to Me-hi-coe

In other words, in order to believe...at this moment...that Chao will be bad for US airline labor re: NAI issues (ie. flag -of-convenience), one has to disregard the clear and undeniable logic above. Which is to say, that Trump is stupid enough to repeat the Obama administration's mistakes re: campaign promises, that he will allow Chao to undermine his core political support, and that he utterly fails to see the political risks here.

That said, given that his detractors completely mocked his ability to attain the WH and never took him seriously to begin with, it is completely foolish to think they know what they are talking about now. Credibility = 0
Good luck believing all that because the 1% will continue to laugh all the way to the bank.

Who do you think Chao is more loyal to, Trump or her husband she sleeps with?

Trump is nothing more than a salesman and a con artist. Trump University is proof of that, along with his many other schemes. Trump also has decades of history against labor... and yet all of a sudden he's labor's friend?? Trump wanted to become president for his ego and his businesses. Roger Ailes and Steve Bannon got him elected, not Trump himself. Trump will not be engaged at all. History again proves that. The Republican Party will go nuts the next 4 years stacking the courts with anti-labor judges. So the next time your company is in bankruptcy from another Republican boom and bust, don't be surprised by the outcome.

(Carrier is nothing but a political stunt back by threats against United Technologies. That's not an economically healthy way to save jobs.)

I would honestly like to be proven wrong, but all indications point otherwise.

(As a side note, I think Bill Clinton had a big part helping Trump win. Waaaay back at the beginning when Trump shifted gears and started attacking McCain as a loser and not a war hero, I thought hmm, this doesn't make sense and yet he's getting a lot of press. Is he nuts or doing this on purpose? Another week of crazy attacks and I still pondered. Well, right before he started this tactic Trump had a long talk with Bill Clinton, a supreme strategist. I though ah Ha!, this is Bill's doing!! Bill didn't want Hillary president and overshadow his legacy. I strongly suspect Bill had a hand advising Hillary to use the "deplorables" in her speech knowing good well what it would do. Election 101, don't mock any of the other voters...all it does is encourage them to vote... So I think Roger Ailes, Steve Bannon and Bill Clinton got him elected. Oh, and the DNC. The DNC had a love affair for Hillary and quashed Trump's real opponent, Bernie.)

Anyway, enough of this thread for me. It'll go on forever and only history will prove anything. All I ask is for people to be honest in what they see going on around them and vote according in 4 years.

Toodles...
