I even flew with a former Eastern captain who had thirty years at that airline prior to flying night freight with us and he adapted as well as any of us.
Like myself most of them had acquired more than one pilot skill set prior to becoming "airline pilots".
Give the old guys a chance ,you may just learn a few things.
Nobody is saying they don't know things. This job is NOT for a 65 year old retired airline captain. Are there exceptions to that? Yes... There have been 2 cases that I've heard of in the last 2 years of retired airline pilots quitting during IOE. This is not the fly to Cabo, sit 2 days and fly home job.
