Good to everyone that came out today and I'll see more of you again tomorrow. Average line has about 14-15 days off so I don't think 300 of FLLs finisest are actually working, not to mention we had some guys come and attend both before their trips today and after their trips this morning. There is no reason we shouldn't have at least 200 guys from FLL and another 100 or so from the other bases for about 300 total. We had 100 in dfw and that base is half the size of FLL.

Will informational picketing get us a contract tomorrow, probably not, but if we can get massive turnouts at these things we can get some media attention, which gets out to Wall Street and that puts pressure on our management. Guys, we had several pilots from other airlines attend along with five from AA, one of which that went on strike while at spirit. These guys don't even work here and they showed up. We had guys come from LAS on their day off. We have folks that live around the corner and couldn't make the effort.

No one is going to hand it to us. Picketing is a small part of a large effort to secure our contract. If someone told you that standing on the sidewalk for an hour in the sun would help you, even slightly, get a $100k raise and a real retirement would you do it? It's a small effort and can help a lot if we are getting big numbers at these things. Or- be happy with the status quo and stop complaining when you hear what the other carriers are making these days.
