The plan you are referring to was developed before Kirby got there, and UAL just announced they are converting the 737-700s to larger aircraft. We will see what Kirby does, but keep in mind he was the President at American when the program with the wholly owneds was put together there.

And Kirby was very much against that plan to my understanding. That is one of the big reasons he left. Him, Parker, and Isom did not share the same vision moving forward. I wouldn't take Kirby being at UA as any indication that UA will take the same path as American. They are apples and oranges.
