New hires have not gotten ANC in years. Most likely will not change in the foreseeable future. That being said, a new hire will now bid for fleet/domicile based on available vacancies. Seniority is based on age, with a tie being determined by last four of social security number.
The company will pay for a move to ANC when it is their poor planning that causes a displacement. This has occurred in the past via displacement/realignment bids. Once again, paid moves are unlikely in the foreseeable future.
An ANC override ? That's news to me. If we EVER had one, it went away ALONG time ago. But I'm new here, so maybe it was before I was in ANC ... pre 2007ish ???
