It is an express violation of the travel policy and can result in big problems. We can all thank fellow employees for causing this problem.
As was referenced, can't hold a revenue and standby on same flight. Lots of guys I commute with will buy a ticket on a later flight if they don't get out standby on the earlier flight... frickin widebody guys
