EXACTLY!!!
Negotiating 101 - From the company's standpoint, they will continue to stall using any means available including complaining about all the non-compliance they can gather. If we respond w/ complaints of our own about their non-compliance, then we're doing exactly what they want (not negotiating) while they make more money.
If they ask for single engine taxi, then taxi on one engine. They can SEE/KNOW when this does and doesn't occur from the mx data. If they want limited APU usage, what's it to you? The difference is literally pennies savings in fuel. Yeah, it adds up over time to a larger amount but is the extra fuel wasted really worht another year of longer negotiations?
Now, if they ask you to sling bags and/or strollers, then politely decline, finish your walk around and prepare for the flight. You don't (and shouldn't) go out of your way for no other reason than insurance purposes but you don't need to be purposeful in your defiance. You're the pilot and that's it. Drive the bus the way they want.
Professional pilots are supposed to be professional...leave the silliness for others.
