Yes that email was widespread. It was a rejection email. About two hours later they sent redaction emails and an apology. It was a little bit of a roller coaster ride for me.
I told a friend who's online at Frontier about that. He said he got one - he's been online for 15 months! Another friend who's been there for over a year said he got two rejection email after he was given a class date!
Alaska Airlines did this to me a few years ago also. I wonder if this is common in other industries.
Unfortunately, this may be standard practice.
My hiring experience a while ago was meeting a pilot and HR rep at OBAP. Talked for about 10 minutes. Took my resume, etc.
About 2 days later, I received a "thanks for your interest but no thanks on an interview at this time" email.
One day after that, I got "we're sorry, we sent out that email in error" email.
About a week later, I got an invite to interview.
Our HR dept just EXUDES class...
