Whenever they do start hiring again.....people are probably going to think twice about coming here because of the uncertainty of our abilities to grow. Our golden parachute is gone, movement was our thing - what are we gonna offer now?
This is the only thing that really concerns me. The only thing we DID have to offer was rapid movement. Our contract/pay is mediocre, we have no flow or guaranteed interview, and our base options are pretty limited. Without the prospect of a rapid upgrade, why come to Compass?
You're right, though...the good news is, with the attrition numbers we've been having, it's only going to take us about 6 months to get back to the staffing/flying ratio we have now. So I really don't think this is going to be a long term issue for us.
Who knows, though. This is a fickle industry. What's good today may be bad tomorrow.
