I'm surprised there's no mention of "Recovery Obligation" after a cancellation. This is a huge thorn in our side. Can work you beyond your last day up until 1:59HBT or later. No premium pay and you're a long call reserve essentially each day of your sequence. So if you were supposed to finish at 8am Sunday, you can be assigned a trip that finishes Monday morning at 1:59am. No premium pay. If you're a commuter and had a commutable 4 day, you can be assigned 4 one day trips and they don't pay for a hotel anymore like Airways did. The American guys I've met have really been great, sincerely. But I don't think they're aware of some huge shortcomings in the contract because they've been living it for so long. The whole Jumpseat issue was a prime example. It was one of the best in the industry hands down and many at AA wanted to go to a seniority system. Not trying to be offensive but I wish they'd be more open to realizing others may actually have something better, and indeed they really do. I hope we can come together and make it happen.
