Fewer LC bids means they're forced to get a crash pad and sit SC reserve in base.
And you completely left out that LC guys at the other carriers get involuntary assigned SC. To provide coverage DL has to convert more LC to SC than AA does. Maybe that's why some seats go so junior at DL vs AA, it's the inability to bid LC on reserve.
The whole point to what I was saying is there should be no dedicated short call lines. That helps everyone. Junior, senior, commuter or not. Everyone on long call with 5 transitions a month, max.
And you completely don't understand that our long calls frequently get converted to short call as well, up to 5 times a month.
And those seats go junior at DL because they actually have a lucrative premium pay system that allows guys to stay senior in seat instead of having to bid up to get more pay. As opposed to our premium pay system which is sporadic and at the convenience of scheduling. And with the combination of PBS and withholding trips for IOE, premium pay is all but dead.
