If that's the case then, AA is the lowest paid, and bottom of work rules. Hopefully that will get fixed in five years but we can't guarantee that. And is that supposed to be the new Norm suffer for five years so you can possibly have a good career in 6 years. If you're so adamant about how easily this will work, tell me, why do we have the 4 and 12 year caps. I, and most of the rest of the company believe that after the 824 we will see huge changes in flow.
One thing you always avoid is the crj, yes we know according to Dick they are leaving starting one a month in April. The schedules on the crj are as bad as it gets 11 days off 80 hours, 12 to 14 days off 72, 73 hours. So if the new hires come to Envoy and get stuck on the crj, life will suck pretty bad for them, as they will be on reserve the entire time starting in April since we will be losing aircraft, and schedules will not get better since we are losing the aircraft. So within one year a new higher may have to do two long terms(3 longterms in 2.5 years if you count upgrade, so that would be 9 months of training in 2.5 years, and three jeopardy events for a new hire).
If I was a new hire and I was offered to see RJ I would walk right out of that class.
It's people like you that are making a lot of the new hires that have been here for a year year-and-a-half pretty ****ed off, they're not seeing any of the benefits you recruiters talked about while they were being hired.
For any of you new hires coming here, please take everything cr700 says with a grain of salt, because he is paid to make things sound great here.
I took the CRJ ORD on monday. I live in base. I understand I'm going to be on reserve. How many CRJs do we have? Isn't it going to take a couple years before they're all gone? Thanks for the info.
