OK, but you have to dive down a little farther for the
true result...
According to PPU, they have 70% of VA pilots behind them. (Other sources put the PPU number at 50% - 60% of eligible VA pilots) . [ see DPA "wish numbers" for how this works]
If only 80% of PPU turned out, then only 56% actually voted. (80% of the 70% of members)
Of the 56% who voted, only 87% were in favor. Equals only 48.72% of
all VA pilots.
Fewer than half.
If the
true number of PPU represented pilots (50-60%) is used, the affirming total is much lower.

I am underwhelmed by that total. And seeing how it is, at best, a slowdown and NOT a strike, it does not seem to have an overwhelming level of support, even among VA piloits. Why should we get out panties in a knot over it?
