If you are going to SLC for new hire it will most likely candlewood. Not terrible, one of you gets your own space while the common area has bed in it for the other guy. In sim you each get your own room. I you are able to i would highly recommend a car. It will help your sanity to not be tied to the hotel, also just to run to the grocery store whenever you want. The rooms have a kintchen-ette so you can prepare meals. Good Luck

There are plenty of sim instructors who are FOs, they do CTP and FTD, not sure of the schedules or pay.
