I can think of a bunch of companies that are a lot worse to work for over AA/US. In fact most of them.

The people that downplay the job are those who are secretly envious.
Woahhhhh. Mind blown!

No but seriously, congrats on the job. If I would have gotten the opportunity back when US airways was doing the hiring I would have gone too. I am not denying the fact that AA mainline is a great place to be. For now. My opinions are just, those my own. Everyone is entitled to their own. With the wholly owned regionals attracting the I don't need a degree/ yeah what ever, I am flowing anyways crowd, I don't want to be there when 99% of the right seat are them and a great portion of the left seats are also.

When looking for a job I don't look at the money only. I look at culture and the company as a whole. No one is perfect, but what I see every day in and out of phl/dca/clt doesn't impress. I guess I don't view the airlines as the only thing that I'm willing and able to do in life.
