I think comparing the two that you are trying out, safelog is a little more user friendly. It makes more sense on what to click and where to go. It's a simple display compared to mcc. I can import my schedules at the end of a trip by downloading and copy/pasting into it and it takes care of the rest. Everything is cloud based so it syncs across desktop/iPhone/iPad. Also the filter is spectacular and have reports for Airline Apps and Pilot Credentials.
What I don't like is that some features are cloud based as well, such as currency. If I want to check it I have to be online to do it. Overall I think that benefits outweighs the negatives.
