While CBA 12.C.2.d seems complicated and Byzantine, it follows FAR 121.471 quite a bit.
And, while FAR 117 doesn't apply to us now, our FedEx MEC is educating us on some of the provisions as the cargo cutout could end, or they could come up with an "equivalent level of safety". Light reading in another ALPA guide:
