Looking for company advice
I'm looking for advice regarding Envoy vs. GoJet. There is so much crap out there, I'm looking for some people that have actually been to these places and can provide some guidance. I have spent months reading, calling, meeting, and reading some more on all of the regionals, and have narrowed it down to these two. Before anyone posts links to each of the companies' respective threads, I have read each of them in their entirety.
I'm currently flying 135 and looking to break into the 121 game. I've done hours and hours of research on these companies, read all of the threads on this site, newsletters/magazines, talked to recruiters, reached out to pilots at each company, and more. I've done my work, but I'm talking about the non tangibles. I get that QOL isn't the greatest with regionals, but I'm just looking for a little time to give to my Fiancé so she doesn't leave me. My goal is to eventually end up at a major.
I live in Denver, and have family in Dallas. I love Denver and really don't want to move.
Envoy:
-Better pay and better sign on bonus
-Flow
-Training pay is higher
-Looking to hire a lot of pilots this year, thus hopefully moving me up in seniority.
-Slightly better deadhead pay
GoJet:
-Quicker upgrade
-Denver base
-Faster reserve
-Less pay at first
-Slightly better minimum day guarantee
Envoy is ALPA, GoJet is IBT. Not sure if that matters. Both offer hotels for commuters.
Equipment doesn't really mean that much to me, as long as I'm progressing in my career and growing.
I guess I'm asking is commuting worth it for a little more pay and flow, to a maybe slightly more established regional airline, or should I stay home with someone that has a domicile where I want to live?
To those that offer to help, thank you very much. I'm not looking to start a 1700 page thread with arguing, I'm just looking for some advice. Happy New Year everyone!
