Considering you're at a 135 you'd get $7500 bonus from Skywest. SkyWest has two bases near you. No flow but that isn't all it's cracked out to be. Under two year upgrade. 1 year 10 month last I saw. Hiring more than envoy and better schedules.
I doubt Skywest is hiring more than Envoy at the moment. I'm not sure about the numbers at SW but I would be surprised if they were hiring more than 60 per month. But then again it doesn't really matter. Both companies are filling classes with out problems.
Flow is what it is. People are AA right now simply because of the flow. The more senior guys who got furloughed during 2001 and stagnated during the recession and age 65 bump, are at AA because of the flow. No one ever says I'm going to wait 16 years to go to AA but stuff happens.
Anyways SW is one of the best choices for a NH. If anyone chooses to commute to Envoy over living in base at SW, then they are crazy.
Right now it's hard for me to advise a pilot to choose Envoy while they are commuting. If they can get past the terrible QOL then good luck. But if your other option is GoJet then it's Envoy hands down.
