I've flown with new FOs recently that believed they would be making $90K the first year, because that is what they were told during the interview and have heard other stories on the line about how new guys had no idea how things are before they took the job. The funny thing about the "$90K" lie is that you'd have to credit 1,051.57 hours in your 8 months following your starting 4 months at $1600. AFTER those 4 months you might not be cleared off of OE and be stuck for an extra month or two at 50 hours a month. I wish we had a recording of these guys being lied to about that because you'd have trouble clearing that number of hours VXing every day of the year.
