Team,

I know there are a lot of questions surrounding the movement of our 200 aircraft, and as I’ve said before, I will share information to the best of my knowledge as soon as possible.

That said, here’s what I know of the CRJ200 fleet over the course of the year.

American CRJ200s
We have 14 American CRJ200s total. Twelve are being replaced by CRJ700s and two will remain on line for our pro-rate flying in Meridian and Hattiesburg.

The twelve aircraft being removed are owned by SkyWest, Inc. and will be swapped out at SkyWest Airlines. This is not a net growth for SkyWest, as they are replacing more expensive 200s in their fleet. It is purely a common sense financial decision. In addition, four of the CRJ700s that we will be flying are coming from SkyWest Airlines.

Delta CRJ200s
We currently have 37 Delta CRJ200s. Of these 37:
Approximately half will be sold by us to Delta while six others will be subleased. As we understand it, some will be going to Endeavor. Some will be dismantled for parts. As these aircraft will be owned by Delta, it is up to their discretion how and in what way they will be utilized.
The remaining aircraft will be returned to their third party owner, which is not the company, SkyWest, Inc., or Delta.
My goal is to remain as upfront as possible. I’m happy to continue talking about this movement in the next pilot conference calls, which will be held the week of January 23. Specific call information will be coming soon. A summary will also be available for those who can’t make it.

Regards,
Greg
I'll be crop dusting EDV pilots as I walk past them in ATL.
