I averaged about 145 a month, some higher. About 40% of that flying was at second year rates. This should give you a general idea of what it's like if you're willing to work a lot and live in base.


As someone looking at SWA who lives 15 minutes south of BWI...

So how much of the 'pickup flying' is strictly day-long trips?

How realistic would it be to bid reserve with a "call me last" caveat and then pick up trips on the rest of the unused days of the month?

If you pick up/assigned a one-day reserve block can the company assign you a trip longer than a day if your schedule is open?
