Thanks for sticking me with terrible reserve rules, terrible vacation pay, terrible training pay, terrible sick/vacation accrual and all the other issues you senior pilots decided to put off until the end of the decade.

Lot of truth here. For many, this place is all about the money and
what's in it for me as opposed to what's in it for us. Esprit de corps has departed the fix. Exactly why is fodder for another thread and I won't stick my toe in that tub at this point.
You and DWS1 seem to have some of this figured out, but many are blinded by the shiny dimes and the opportunity to spend MORE time away from base, not less. Just look at the forums over the last 2 - 3 years and you'll see all the division. Enjoy (and save) the money while you can because these are the good old days. The really sweet work rules are likely gone forever. As are most of the guys who remember them, and fought for them for the benefit of the group.
